New Release Enhances Existing Features and Adds New Functionality
YARDLEY, PA, January 15, 2007 - Activant Solutions Inc. announced the availability of Activant SDI version 13.0. Based on customer requests, the newest version of the UNIX-based enterprise software solution features the integration of an optional forms package, the ability to electronically archive and view deleted orders, and more.
"Activant welcomes customer input when developing new product releases," said Steve McLaughlin, senior vice president and general manager of Activant's wholesale distribution group. "The enhanced functionality of SDI version 13.0 illustrates our commitment to helping customers increase sales, reduce operating costs, and improve customer service."
New Features in SDI Version 13.0 Include:
-
Location-Specific Companion Items - Users can now assign different companion items to a single item, and have SDI choose which one to suggest based on the region of the country in which the item is sold.
-
Saving Deleted Orders - This new feature enables users to view save deleted orders in a new file so they can be viewed in certain INQUIRY options. This prevents them from having to print orders to be deleted and save hard copies.
-
Improved Process for Purchase Order Modifications - When a purchase order disposition line is deleted from an order, the corresponding purchase order line will be deleted as well. This saves users from having to perform the extra step of deleting the purchase order line before the order taker can delete the order line.
-
Optional Forms Package - SDI's forms package offers the ability to customize pick tickets, invoices, statements, and checks with a logo, bar codes, or other graphics, which enables users to personalize each printout.
-
And Much More!
